Many of you know our story. Everyone of us has a story, a journey to traverse. We hope ours inspires, brings hope, joy, maybe laughter. If you feel inspired to contribute, share, encourage we are open to it all.

Our daughter was evaluated by our school district in 2018. They said she was Autistic and ADHD. I knew nothing nor had any experience with someone with ASD (Autism spectrum disorder) or ADHD (Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). We have traversed special education with our public school for almost five years until we felt she needed something different to thrive. We had a lot of wonderful experiences with our local schools’ special education programs and met some great teachers.
At the beginning of 4th grade they told us they wanted her in general education starting with 5th grade. We were unsure if general education would ever be the right fit, but we trusted them. They have more experience and education than we have in this arena. So over the next months we saw the pressure she was under and the behavior reports got worse. These behaviors were only happening at school and not at home. We received an email that she blurted something and would not be punished this time. That we needed to have a conversation with her about her use of words.
We had been looking and praying for another option for her. By the time the email came we had met with the director of an amazing school and felt it would be a great fit. We made the change in the middle of the year and she is thriving. The pressure is gone and she is growing in confidence and having some great experiences.
This is where we are asking for your help. Anyone can visit this site. We want to be transparent and protect our daughters' privacy. Her new school is private and costs $11,435 each year. She is in the 5th grade and through 12th it will be a grand total of $91,480. We are hoping to raise $5000 each year.
